Where innovation becomes reality

Technology Adoption Advisory

Most technology adoption failures are not technical. They fail because the social, ethical, and organisational conditions for real-world use were never built alongside the technology itself. Ketran works at that intersection — where innovation stalls, pilots don't scale, and communities don't yet trust the system.

Start a conversation How we work
"Does the organisation need someone who can say no to technologists, clinicians, and policymakers — and explain why to each of them in their own language? If yes, Ketran fits."

We offer evidence-based senior advice around technical, human, ethical, and governance considerations — staying present through design, deployment, and evaluation, not just parachuting in at one stage. Value compounds by staying through the hard parts.

Four service models, one consistent focus

Embedded senior counsel across the full adoption lifecycle — from early-stage concept through real-world deployment and evaluation.

Concept Development

Early stage

Shaping early-stage ideas into testable prototypes — validating fast, before significant investment is committed. Co-design with stakeholders from the outset, not as an afterthought.

Embedded Advisory

Retainer — 3 to 12+ months

Sustained senior counsel across a complex program, keeping scientific evidence, technical ambition, human reality, and governance readiness aligned as the project moves.

Adoption Readiness Assessment

Fixed scope — 6 to 8 weeks

Structured diagnostic against real-world conditions: technical readiness, usability, ethical exposure, evidence standards, and governance gaps. Built to withstand scrutiny from funders, regulators, and clinicians.

Framework & Evidence Facilitation

Project-based

Decision-grade artefacts for government bodies, funders, and peak organisations — evidence frameworks, adoption standards, and policy-relevant evaluation designs built to outlive the project and shape real practice.

15+ years of applied work — deployed at national scale

Founded on 15+ years of applied interactive systems validation and adoption work spanning technology co-design with stakeholders, real-world evaluation, and translation across health, disability, aged care, and education.

CALD Assist

1M+ users. Official interpretation support tool embedded in NSW Health and Western Health. 7 national awards.

NDIA AI-enabled AT Framework

Independent framework now informing national assistive technology policy at the Department of Social Services.

Smarter Safer Home

CSIRO-developed smart home safety platform implemented across Australia and Singapore.

MAX Robotics Platform

In regular use across South Australian schools for children with physical and communication disabilities.

CAPS Stroke

Phase 2 funded clinical pilot — communication aid technology for stroke survivors.

Startup Support

Advisory and validation work with early-stage technology companies including Reset Moves, gheorg, LIV, and Triggar Media — across health, wellbeing, and media technology.

Independent real-user evaluations of health technology

Ketran-100 is our agile evidence arm — producing fast, methodologically rigorous evaluations of health technology, assistive technology, aged care platforms, and digital therapeutics. Transparent methodology, real participants at scale, public results.

Standard product reviews are one person, one opinion, no methodology. Academic usability studies are rigorous but slow. Ketran-100 occupies the space in between — with explicit methodology, real users, stated limitations, and no overclaiming.

Participate in an evaluation. If you use health technology, assistive technology, or digital care tools and want to contribute to independent real-user research, register your interest below.
